Firstly, Pramipexole Dihydrochloride, aka Prami, is a dopamine agonist that is very similar to the same compounds that work alongside Cabergoline. Pramipexole is very commonly found in the brand names Sifrol, Mirapexin, and Mirapex.

How Pramipexole works:

Secondly, Pramipexole is a dopamine agonist that works directly with the prolactin hormone. When you increase dopamine levels in your body, prolactin goes down. It is able to do this chemically because it works directly with the dopamine D3 receptor. Prolactin is very much responsible for why men don’t have a strong libido, and at times, when it gets too high, these can lead to severe sexual issues.

It’s important to also know that it acts with the D2 receptor and also has somewhat of an affinity for the D3 receptor which is approximately seven times stronger than any other dopamine agonist in existence.
