Gonadorelin (GNRH) is the same as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GNRH) that is naturally released from the hypothalamus gland. Therefore, GNRH causes the pituitary gland to release other hormones (luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone).

Firstly, Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GNRH) is aka luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), gonadoliberin, luliberin, gonadorelin, and GNRH I. It is a decapeptide in the hypothalamus. At any rate, various functions reported in biochemical, molecular, neuroanatomical, pharmacological, and physiological studies in mammals have mainly focused on its role as a gonadotropin-releasing factor.
How Gonadorelin works:
Secondly, the reproductive system in humans regulates by a process that requires the action of hormones in the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis loop. In adult males and females, the hypothalamic pulsatile secretion of the GNRH results in the expression and release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary gland.
Basically, FSH and LH (gonadotropins) regulate the function of the testes and ovaries (gonads). In conclusion, for both sexes, FSH stimulates gamete production, and LH stimulates the expression of steroid hormones by the gonads. Therefore, an increased level of steroid hormones inhibits GNRH production through a negative feedback loop.
In addition, the amino acid structure of GNRH is identical in essentially all mammalian species. The GNRH-1 gene (GNRH1) is on human chromosome 8 and produces a 92–amino acid precursor peptide which is prepro-GnRH. After that, it includes a signal sequence (23 amino acids), GNRH (10 amino acids), a proteolytic processing site (3 amino acids), and GNRH-associated peptide (56 amino acids).
The latter peptide can stimulate gonadotropin secretion and inhibit prolactin secretion although its precise physiologic role, if any, remains unclear.
