Firstly, Fluclotizolam was first synthesized in 1979 by Hoffmann La Roche, Inc. and subsequently patented.  Above all, it is a thienodiazepine aka thienotriazolodiazepine.

How Fluclotizolam works:

Secondly, a thienodiazepine is a heterocyclic compound containing a diazepine ring with fusion to a thiophene ring.
