Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) is a type of SERM, a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator. However, Clomid is stronger than a normal SERM because it stimulates higher production of both follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Therefore, you don’t just maintain your levels, you can accelerate production above natural.

How Clomiphene Citrate works:

Clomiphene works in the opposite way to SARMs, which are Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. So rather than acting on the androgen receptors, Clomiphene Citrate instead modulates the estrogen receptors. This tells the body it has estrogen and blocks the activity of estrogen on the receptors.

Likewise, Clomid work in this way within the pituitary gland, blocking estrogen receptors there. Estrogen binds to the pituitary gland receptors and lowers the production of both follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).

Both FSH and LH are crucial to stimulating testosterone production in the testes. So blocking these receptors, it stops estrogen from lowering levels of these two crucial androgens as a result.
