This combo includes: (1) 30ml Bacteriostatic water & 10-pack of Insulin syringes (31 gauge, 1ml/cc, 5/16″ 8mm)

Bacteriostatic water is water that has been made to inhibit the growth of most types of bacteria. It is comprised of sterile and filtered water, with all bacteria removed, which is then mixed with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which prevents any contaminating bacteria from growing in the water. In this way, the water has become ‘static’, or relatively unchanging in its bacterial content. This preparation of sterile water and benzyl alcohol (BnOH) allows repeated withdrawals to be made from a single 30mL glass vial. Once a vial of bacteriostatic water is open, the preservatives will prolong its life for up to 28 days. After this period, the vial should be discarded.

The difference between bacteriostatic water and sterile water is that other sterile waters for injection do not contain a bacteriostatic agent. As such, they are single-dose vials and should be discarded after a single use.
